Just a reminder that the final payment of £33.00 / £17.00 (pupil premium) is overdue. If you have not paid the full amount for your child’s visit please do so as soon as possible. Thank you.

PTA Matters

Look out for information coming home concerning the Christmas Market and the Secret Santa Gift Shop. A PTA Newsletter will also be emailed to you separately today.

Christmas Lunch

This will be held on Tuesday 11th December. It is always a fun occasion. If your child wishes to have Christmas lunch please visit The Farm Kitchen’s website in the usual way to place your order. As always, you need to book the meal for your child – it will not just arrive!!! The deadline for ordering the Christmas meal is 3.00pm on Tuesday 4th December. Don’t be disappointed – book today!! If your child does not wish to have the hot lunch, they can, of course, bring a packed lunch.

Christmas Hoop Day

We will be holding our Hoop Days on Thursday 29th November for Reception to Year 5 and on Monday 3rd December for Year 6. If you are able to come into school to help with the hoops, please speak to your child’s teacher who will be able to give you more information.

Children in Need

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts this year. The cakes all looked amazing. The children had fun performing for their ‘sing-off’ and wearing their pyjamas and ‘gunge the teacher’ was an amazing success. Many thanks to Morrison’s for donating the custard. We are delighted to tell you that we have raised an amazing total of £1,039.17. Congratulations to everyone involved.

New House Teams

We are very excited about the recent launch of our new House Points System. The children are already enjoying being part of their houses and a little bit of gentle competition never did anyone harm!! You will recall from the letter recently sent to you that eventually we would like children to wear the same colour PE T-shirt as their house team. These T-shirts are available for you to purchase via our uniform suppliers ‘Brigade’ at a cost of £5.49. Please make sure you are absolutely certain which colour team your child is in before purchasing a T-shirt as Brigade will not be able to make exchanges.

Starting School in September 2019

If you have a child who was born between 1st September 2014 and 31st August 2015, they will be due to start school in September 2019. You need to apply for a place in a school for them—please do not assume that because they have a brother or sister in our school, or your child goes to Wygate Foundation Nursery School that you will automatically get a place in our school—this is not the case. Please call into the school office for a leaflet on how to apply for a place. If you are applying for a place and have a brother or sister who currently comes to our school, please make sure you put this information in the relevant place on the application form. This could make the difference between you obtaining a place in this school or not. Please make your application before the closing date of 15th January 2019.
