Remember that school is still contactable over the Easter holiday period by email, should you have any questions or queries.
As you know, school is currently closed to all pupils, except those of ‘key workers.’ Thank you to everyone for only sending their children to school if this is absolutely necessary. This will help to keep everyone safe and well in these current times.
Please ensure that your telephone numbers and email addresses are up-to-date with the school office so that we can continue to communicate regularly with you.
Well done for getting through the first two weeks of home learning! As you are aware, packs to support your child have been provided and additional websites and resources have been emailed to you. Teachers are busy working putting together more exciting resources and creating projects for you to work on at home after the Easter break.
Please remember, ‘little and often’ is the best way to encourage your child to complete their learning activities. We are not expecting you to be ‘teachers’ nor do we expect you to re-create school at home. So please do not put too much pressure on your children or on yourself.
Our main priority is for your children to be happy and safe during these uncertain times.
Please enjoy the Easter break (following the ‘staying at home’ guidelines) and treat this time as a ‘holiday’ from the daily routine of home learning that you have created for your child.
Keeping in touch
Future learning packs and information will be communicated with you via email. However teachers love to see what you’re getting up to at home!
Remember that you can upload your work to ‘Seesaw’ for them to see! We have sent you an email this week with a reminder of the class log-ins.
Children in Reception can continue to use ‘Tapestry’ to share their home learning. If you need support with your log-in, please contact the school office.
Please contact the school office if you have any questions or queries about anything during these current times and we will do our best to help.
Is your child eligible for Pupil Premium Funding?
This funding is available for children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits. It entitles your child to free meals, along with many other benefits within school. During these current times, parents of children in receipt of ‘Pupil Premium Free-school meals’ will benefit from the national voucher scheme allowing their children to continue to access meals whilst they stay at home.
This does not apply to children who are entitled to ‘Universal infant free school meals’ whereby all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a daily free school meal under normal circumstances.
If you think your child might be eligible, or if you would like further information, please phone into the school office in confidence.
