ACORN 18th January 2019

Week ending 18th January 2019

We would like to wish you all a very Happy 2019.

Parking issues

Once again we need to mention that we are having complaints regarding parking issues on a daily basis from our neighbours and members of the public. We have even had a report of a parent being hit by a car (which only narrowly missed a child). This matter has, of course been reported to the police and further action will be taken. We cannot stress to you enough the importance of safe and considerate driving. We are very aware that the majority of our parents/carers are responsible road users and so this does not apply to you and we apologise that we have to keep mentioning it. Unfortunately though, there are still those who totally ignore our requests and totally disregard the law. Will it take a serious accident to happen before you will listen?

Staff Update

Mrs White our SENCO left us at the end of last term. We wish her all the very best for the future. We are delighted that Mrs Searle has returned to us following her maternity leave. She will be taking over the role of SENCO and will be working on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We are currently looking for a midday meal supervisor and a cleaner. The midday meal supervisor role would be from 11.45am until 1.15pm and the cleaner role would be from 3.30pm until 5.30pm. Both positions are Monday to Friday term time only. The two posts could be combined for the right applicant. If you would like further information or an application form, please call into the school office.

Year 6 SATs Week

This takes place 13th – 17th May 2019. ALL year 6 children must be in school for these important tests. Please do not make any routine medical appointments during this time.
