ACORN 28th September 2018

   THE ACORN - 2

 Week ending 28th September 2018

If you have not already registered your account with ParentPay, please do so as soon as possible. The ParentPay system is safe and easy to use. Shortly, we will no longer be able to accept payments by cash or cheque and it will be the only acceptable means of paying for trips. Please ask at the office if you need help with this.

Harvest Festivals

These will take place on Wednesday 10th October within school.

Unfortunately we are unable to invite parents/carers due to lack of space. We will be making a collection of food items which will all be donated to the Agape Foodbank in Spalding. If you wish to contribute towards this, please bring tinned/packet/dried items along on the day. Please do not bring fresh produce. The Agape Foodbank is a wonderful organisation which assists the needy within our own town.

Birthday Sweets

Can we please remind you that children should not bring sweets or cake into school to celebrate their birthday. This is in accordance with the government guidelines for tackling obesity. If you wish to celebrate birthdays with classmates, please consider a healthy option such as raisins/fresh fruit. There is, of course, no obligation at all to bring items into school.

A poem for AUTUMN

Autumn ends the summer season

Under the trees leaves pile up for hibernation,

Thick sap sticks to the walls of bark,

Underground it is soggy and wet,

Moist dew lies on the grass,

Now it’s winter’s turn.

Written by children in Roc class

Whole school daily mile

In accordance with the government guidelines for tackling obesity, each class will be taking part in a daily mile fun run during the school day. This will only take place on days that children do not have PE lessons within their class. They will not be getting changed for this event and it will be a fun time for all children. The teachers/teaching assistants will also be taking part in this!
