Christmas Fair – TODAY from 5.00pm-7.00pm
We are looking forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Fair this evening. There are loads of fun things to do. The school choir will be performing and there will be many other activities and stalls. Our PTA have worked tirelessly to make this an amazing evening for you all to enjoy so please come along and support them in raising funds for the benefit of all children. See you there.
Christmas Lunch – Wednesday 11th December
Just a reminder that if you did not order a Christmas lunch for your child, they will need to bring a packed lunch with them on this day. There will not be any food available for those who have not ordered.
Cancellation of After School Clubs
After School Clubs WILL NOT TAKE PLACE TONIGHT due to the Christmas Fair. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Reception & Year 1 Christmas Plays
Any spare tickets will be available from the school office on Friday 13th December. These will be handed out on a first come first served basis.
Christmas Post Box – This is now available in the school hall for children to post their Christmas cards to people in their class and other classes within school. Please make sure that envelopes clearly show the name of the recipient, together with their class – we will be unable to deliver cards which are not properly addressed. The KS2 classes will take it in turns to deliver the cards around school, taking some festive cheer with them as they go!
During term 3, Mrs Morgan will be joining Pinchbeck East Primary School to teach a year 1 class. To maintain continuity for the children, during the time that Mrs Morgan is at Pinchbeck, Mrs Beesley will be teaching the class full time. In term 4, Mrs Morgan will return to us and both teachers will resume teaching the class. This is one of the ways in which we can share our skills and knowledge across our Federation of Schools.
Safe Air for us all to breathe & safe parking – We have received reports that some people are leaving their cars running whilst coming into school to collect their children. We are sure you will agree with us that this is dreadful for everyone’s health and also for our environment. Please do not do this. It is very harmful for us all. Can we please remind you again not to park on the yellow zig-zags, do not block our neighbours driveways and do not park illegally. Sadly, we are having reports that it is the same few people who think that the rules do not apply to them!!! We are advising anyone who complains to us to contact the police directly and report matters. By parking irresponsibly, you are endangering lives.
Kingswood Residential Visit – May 2020If your child is going on this visit, can we please remind you that the next payment of £30.00 (or £15.00 if the school receives Pupil Premium funding for your child) is due TODAY. Please make sure you have paid this amount via ParentPay. Thank you.
Christmas Hoops – Thank you to all parents/carers who came into school to help with the Christmas Hoops. The hoops are now up in the hall and look amazing.
Before & After School Clubs - Can we please remind parents/carers that you should NOT park in the car park when dropping off your child for a morning club or collecting your child from after school clubs. These are extremely busy times of the day with school staff attempting to arrive for work or leave for the day. This is for the safety of yourself and your children. Thank you.
Reception & KS1 Pantomime - Unfortunately, the company who should have been doing a pantomime for Reception and KS1 children on Thursday let us down. However, we are pleased to tell you that we have managed to secure a different company to perform a pantomime to the children on 28th January. We apologise for the disappointment this may have caused your child, but we are pleased to be able to give them something to look forward to following the Christmas period.
Reception and Year 6 Height and Weight Checks We have been informed that these checks will take place on Monday 3rd February 2020.

Starting School in September 2020 - If you have a child who was born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, they will be due to start school in September 2020. You need to apply for a place in a school for them—please do not assume that because they have a brother or sister in our school, or your child goes to Wygate Foundation Nursery School that you will automatically get a place in our school—this is not the case. Please call into the school office for a leaflet on how to apply for a place. If you are applying for a place and have a brother or sister who currently comes to our school, please make sure you put this information in the relevant place on the application form. This could make the difference between you obtaining a place in this school or not. The application process closes on 15th January 2020 so please make sure you have applied by then.
