“Learning together, succeeding together.”
The aim of our curriculum at Spalding Primary Academy is to provide our learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to be effective members of both our local and global community.
At Spalding Primary Academy, we teach a knowledge and skills subject-based curriculum. Through quality teaching, the use of learning partners and talking to each other, all children will be challenged to be inquisitive, resilient, confident learners. This will enable our children to develop a deep knowledge across the curriculum, which is brought to life through a variety of rich and vibrant knowledge based experiences. In EYFS we teach a themed curriculum based around books.
Through our curriculum, we aim to encourage:
Resilience, determination and perseverance.
Communication in all learning to enable children to develop vocabulary and language skills.
Children to become curious and inquisitive learners.
Children to develop a love of reading.
An aspirational and ambitious environment so that children can make informed choices.
Children to develop an interest and knowledge of their environment and their world.
Children to become confident, articulate, numerate and polite citizens.
