Sports Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

The Sports Premium is allocated from the Government and it is used to support the delivery of PE and sport in primary schools.  This funding is allocated directly to primary schools across England, providing them with a dedicated resource to purchase in invaluable expertise and support.

It is the 'Spalding' way and belief that the Premium sports funding should help the school develop sustainable links with sports and health clubs/agencies. It is important children will be able to access extracurricular clubs to increase their levels of participation and enjoyment in sports and have opportunities to experience and gain a taster of alternative sports, not necessarily on the school curriculum. We are endeavouring to provide high quality continued professional development training opportunities to further develop our staff and ensure that we raise standards of teaching and learning in P.E through the links with local secondary schools and outside clubs and agencies. We are also looking to use the funding to help raise the pupils and parents awareness of healthy lifestyles.
